Photo
She is a 40-year old French artist who has built a feminine and original universe.

She has always been passionate about photography. The artist she looks up to most is Helmut Newton, but she also draws inspiration from the work of Barbara Kruger, Richard Avedon, Mel Ramos and Russel James. Cécile starts a career in finance though, and she has very little time left for photography.

It is when she moves to Brussels that she decides to dedicate to her passion.
She has been working
with light since three years, when she joined the Contraste agency. During her numerous trips, she studies nuances: the morning light in Senegal or by the Mediterranean, midday light in Miami or in Madagascar; but also the lights of Broadway at night.

Inspired by her women friends and the desire to make fun of frivolous things, she creates a Barbie series. Barbie is to her a heroine that embodies the image of our time, today more than ever. It's a journey in our imagination, but just a little bit offbeat...
